Terms of service
Last updated 12 October 2026
About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Distill AI Ltd ("Distill", "we", "us"), registered in England and Wales, company number 17488331, at 36a Staines Road, Twickenham, TW2 5AH. They apply when you use the website at distill.review or the app at app.distill.review.
If you use Distill for an organisation, you accept these terms for that organisation and confirm you are allowed to. A separate signed agreement with your organisation takes priority over these terms.
Early access
Distill is an early product. Features will change, and some may stop working or be removed. We do not currently charge for Distill. We will give you at least 30 days' notice before introducing fees, and you can stop using Distill before they apply.
Your account
- Sign up with your work email and keep your details accurate.
- Keep access to your email and connected accounts secure.
- Tell us at jamie@distill.reviewif you think someone else has used your account.
- You must be at least 16 to use Distill.
Your content
You and your organisation own the code, messages and other content you connect to or create in Distill. You give us permission to host, copy, process and display that content only as needed to provide Distill to you. You confirm you have the right to share it with us.
We do not use your content to train AI models. Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal data.
AI output and human judgement
Distill uses AI models to summarise changes and route decisions. AI output can be incomplete or wrong. You stay responsible for the decisions you make with it, including what you approve, merge and ship.
Acceptable use
Do not use Distill to:
- break the law or infringe anyone's rights;
- upload malware or content you have no right to share;
- run code in our sandboxes that attacks other systems, mines currency or abuses shared resources;
- probe, overload or get around the security of Distill or the services it connects to;
- copy, resell or build a competing product from Distill.
Other services
Distill connects to services such as GitHub and Slack. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for them.
Our property
We own Distill, its software and its brand. These terms do not give you any rights in them beyond using Distill as described here. If you send us feedback, we may use it without any obligation to you.
Suspension and closing your account
You can stop using Distill at any time and ask us to delete your data through our deletion form. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts Distill or others at risk. Where we can, we will warn you first and give you a chance to export your content.
Disclaimers
Distill is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no promises that it will be uninterrupted, error free or fit for a particular purpose.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit.
Otherwise, we are not liable for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, or for indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability under these terms is limited to the greater of £100 and the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Distill changes. We will email account holders about significant changes at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use Distill after that means you accept them.
Law and disputes
The laws of England and Wales govern these terms, and their courts have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
